What's the Top Reason Behind the Popularity of Fast Food Chains? / By: Shatha Alqurashy
In today’s world, the demand for fast food restaurants has comparatively
increased due to several reasons. To begin with, the popularity of fast food
restaurants stems from their ubiquitousness. Indeed, people can find fast food
restaurants everywhere, which makes them easily accessible and extra convenient
at any time of the day. For example, there is a fast food restaurant near my
college. Whether I like it or not, it is the nearest restaurant that I can
find when I have a break. In addition to their availability, the popularity of
fast food restaurants relates to the requirements of individuals’ modern
lifestyle. People with busy schedules don’t have enough time to prepare their
own meals. Consequently, they are more likely to buy a ready-made meal at KFC
or any other brand of fast food chains. Furthermore, fast food restaurants’
extremely affordable pricing contributes to their popularity as well. It is
well-known that fast food restaurants offer variety of meals at very low prices
which attracts more customers. For instance, a whole meal at Burger King which
is only 20 riyals costs less than a 70-riyal steak at Gurkan Sef. As a result
of this attractive feature, people are more tempted to buy fast food. In
conclusion, fast food restaurants will continue to have an immense place in the
world as long as there are people looking for the convenient and inexpensive
food options.__
