      Joining a gym may sound like a waste of time, but it is actually greatly beneficial for three main reasons. To begin with, a positive alternative for a lot of sedentary activities is going to the gym. Many people sit at home with nothing to do, so they end up wasting their time on electronics for entertainment. However, if those people went to the gym, they would be taking advantage of their free time. Moreover, having an outlet to relieve stress and negativity is another reason for people to join a gym. People like to bottle up emotions to a point where they explode. To solve this issue they must join a gym to avoid unnecessary outbursts. Finally, the most important and obvious reason for joining a gym to achieve and maintain proper physical health. For example, doctors have noticed that simply working out for thirty minutes every morning is as effective as medicine for patients with high blood pressure. In addition, to avoid diseases like cancer or diabetes, it is crucial to stay in shape. In conclusion, there are many valid reasons for people to join a gym, including having a better way to spend free time, a means to get rid of stress, and good health.
