The Glorious Month of Ramadan
One of the most beloved events in a Muslim’s year is the holy month of Ramadan for a number of reasons. This month is the ninth month of the Hijri calendar when Muslims who are of suitable age fast from sunrise to sunset. One of the reasons Ramadan is cherished is because how much it is filled with loved ones. For example, the process of preparing iftar can be a wonderful experience for families to do together. In addition, almost all people like to throw large family gatherings throughout the month. Second, Ramadan comes around and brings peace for all. During this month, many
people get a break from the distractions of modern life, and they get to do more good deeds. Many charities take volunteers to put together food boxes for the less fortunate people. Finally, the most significant reason Ramadan is loved is because millions of Muslims around the world, regardless of race or nationality, fast together for the same reason. Whether a person lives in their home country surrounded by family or not, will still find an open community of muslims ready to share their iftar and suhoor. Also, after Ramadan comes people celebrating the joy of Eid al fiter which is a celebration of the end of fasting . All in all, there is no doubt that Ramadan is a special occasion, for it has the most essential things in life: family, peace, and unity.
