Advantages of Using Tablets in Class / By: Lama Tonkal

In the modern world, technology is integrated into every single part of life, so using tablets in class should not be an exception for three important advantages. The first and most important advantage of using a tablet is that it wastes less paper and resources. Instead of using physical books, for example, downloading a PDF version of the same book saves many trees. Similarly, notebooks may look pretty and feel pleasant to the touch, but every notebook requires hundreds of trees to be chopped off; as such, using a note-taking application instead can be more environmentally friendly. Another advantage is the convenience and speed that tablets carry. Books, worksheets, notes, and even the most powerful search engine in the world are just a click away. Distribution of practices and homework has also never been quicker. The final advantage is having more organization and tidiness in class and assignments. For instance, having tons of notebooks, papers, and books everywhere can get incredibly messy very quickly; in contrast, when using a tablet, everything is in just one place. Moreover, illegible handwriting and microscopically small letters are a thing of the past with tablets, for everything is typed down neatly. All in all, using tablets in class is beneficial because it wastes less paper, time, and desk space.
