In today’s world, although the importance of healthy living is as clear as ice, people mainly chose the healthy lifestyle due to three positive effects. To begin with, the most important effect is that following a healthy lifestyle will improve people’s mental health status. According to Dr. Taylor Alison, a Psychologist, people with the healthiest lifestyle are about half as likely to have any mental health issues compared to those with an unhealthy lifestyle. In fact, before she gives her patients any drugs, she advises them first to follow a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle may add up to people’s life expectancy. For instance, in a recent health study, the researcher mentioned that French people have the shortest average life expectancy than almost all other high-income countries because they have the worst lifestyle. On the other hand, Saudis, for example, have the longest average life expectancy as a result of their healthy lifestyle. Thus, a healthy lifestyle will guarantee a longer life expectancy. Finally, another result of following a healthy lifestyle is that it improves individuals’ appearance tremendously. In an interview that was done in a gym in New York City, the reporter asked the members one question “did your appearance change after you followed a healthy lifestyle?”; surprisingly, almost 80% of them answered with “yes” due to the changes in their body, hair, and skin that resulted in changing their whole appearance positively. After putting the mental health improvement, the increase in people’s life expectancy, and the tremendous appearance changes in consideration, it’s clear why people in today’s world chose to follow a healthy lifestyle, and according to nutritionist more people will in the future
